Zirconia Mullite

Zirconia Mullite is a fused material that combines the excellent thermal stability of mullite with the corrosion resistance and structural reinforcement of zirconia. This unique combination results in a high-strength, high-performance refractory material suitable for severe service environments. In refractory applications, Zirconia Mullite is used in areas exposed to thermal shock, alkali vapor attack, and molten glass or metal, such as in glass tank superstructures, furnace crowns, and slide gate plates. It provides enhanced resistance to crack propagation and thermal spalling, contributing to increased lining life and reduced maintenance in aggressive high-temperature settings.
