Silicon Carbide (SiC) is a synthetic crystalline compound of
silicon and carbon, produced at extremely high temperatures in
an electric resistance furnace. It is one of the hardest and most
durable abrasive materials available, ranking just below
diamond on the Mohs hardness scale. Due to its sharp, brittle
structure and high thermal conductivity, silicon carbide is ideal
for aggressive cutting, grinding, and polishing tasks across а
wide range of materials.
