Fused Alumina

it is a synthetic abrasive, produced by melting high purity alumina (AI,O,) above 2000°C in electric arc furnaces. Afterwards, t h e liquid is cooled and crystallized into hard masses that are durable enough to withstand crushing and subsequent size gradation.
